The Petaluma Poetry Walk returns to downtown Petaluma from 11am to 7pm, Sunday, September 20, 2026 celebrating its 29th year bringing live poetry readings to the heart of downtown Petaluma.
Three poets from Sixteen Rivers Press will read from 11am-11:45am at the Hotel Petaluma: Dane Cervine, Lenore Myers, and Carolyn Miller. Poets will be introduced by former Sonoma County Poet Laureate Terry Ehret. Hotel Petaluma is located at 205 Kentucky Street, Petaluma, California.
Founded by the late poet Geri Digiorno in 1996, the free, day-long event features over two dozen regionally and nationally recognized poets. Among them are: Maw Shein Win, the Berkeley Poetry Festival’s 2025 LifeTime Achievement Award Winner; Claire Drucker, our new Sonoma County Poet Laureate; and Cintia Santana, winner of the Northern California Book Award in Poetry.
Poets’ books will be available for purchase at Copperfield’s Books during the month of September. Go to petalumapoetrywalk.org for the full day’s schedule of 24 poets and eight venues.
